In 1959, Dr. Ellis Ring partnered with his brother Selden to create Ring Brothers Management—the company that crafted some of Southern California's most upscale apartment-home communities. Known as "garden apartment" communities for their lush landscaping and open designs, these pioneering communities enabled residents to enjoy the great outdoors and bask in the region's coveted Mediterranean climate.
Mr. Alexander comes to E&S Ring Management Corporation from Essex Property Trust, where he served as Senior Vice President. He led operations of over 50,000 apartments throughout California and Washington with more than $1 billion in annual revenue, and completed over 6,000 unit turns and more than $200 million in renovations.
Prior to joining Essex Property Trust, Alexander served as Director of Operations for Century West Properties as well as a Real Estate Consultant for The Meyers Group. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California. He is a Certified Property Manager with the Institute of Real Estate Management and a Certified MAP Leader.
He is responsible for directing all company operations for the apartment and boat slip portfolio in greater Los Angeles, Orange and Ventura County, Northern California and Washington. Building on his extensive renovation experience and E&S Ring’s long history of service, Alexander plans to focus on providing new and existing apartment communities that make each resident feel welcomed and valued.
Mr. Wagner provides extensive expertise through long term and varied experience at E&S Ring. Mr. Wagner joined the company in 1987 relocating to Los Angeles from Portland, Oregon where he was involved in management of student housing for Portland State University. He has been the Portfolio Manager for both fee and company-owned properties. Mark has superior knowledge of building systems, energy usage and property operations.
His experience includes all aspects of property and asset management including rehabilitation (often a full renovation) and lease up, staffing, implementing proper administrative and accounting procedures, preparing properties for resale, performing due diligence having worked with such institutions as California Federal Bank, Connecticut Mutual, Secured Capital, Kennedy Wilson and others.
He currently oversees 1,676 apartments, 227 boat slips and provides asset management services for the entire E&S Ring Management portfolio consisting of 35 properties. Mr. Wagner attended Portland State University.
Mr. Hott joined E&S Ring in 2005. He oversees the technology aspects at forty locations throughout Southern and Northern California, Washington, Oregon and Nevada. He has extensive experience in project implementation including Microsoft SharePoint, Active Directory, Exchange, Citrix MetaFrame, Payables Nexus, RentPayment, and network infrastructure including MPLS and VPN based Wide Area Networks.
Before joining E&S Ring, Kevin served as the Vice President of HardSoft Corporation, a consulting firm in Brea, CA. While employed there, he was responsible for assisting with the technical support and management of twenty-five customer locations throughout Southern California.
Mr. Hott holds a Master of Science degree in Organization and Management with a specialization in Information Technology Management from Capella University. Mr. Hott is also a graduate of DeVry University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Telecommunications Management. He is also a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE 2003).
Mr. Hott sits on the executive advisory committee at I365 (E-Vault). His department was featured in the August 2011 issue of CDW's NETCOM magazine for implementing cost saving telecommunications systems. Mr. Hott was also featured in the May 27, 2010 issue of Multifamily Executive as he worked on a team that implemented a cost saving accounts receivable system called Property Bridge.
Our Director of Marketing develops and implements marketing programs for all communities, utilizing the latest marketing and advertising technologies and strategies.
Ms. Alicea is a graduate of the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Cinema-Television. She previously worked as an Associate Photo Editor for TV Guide. Ms. Alicea also has a Certificate in Marketing with an emphasis in Social Media and Web Analytics from the University of California Los Angeles.
Ms. Alicea started with E&S Ring in 2004. During this time she has worked closely with the properties to develop web-marketing strategies and implement various marketing technologies such as real-time availability software, call answering services, lead management/tracking software and online resident surveys.
Ms. Alicea has experience with multiple high-end lease ups while at E&S Ring, including Esprit, Village of Marineo and The Villa in Marina del Rey.
In addition to authoring various online best practices and keeping up with the latest marketing trends for E&S Ring, Ms. Alicea is responsible for mining marketing data for in-depth analysis of campaign performance and ROI.
Ms. Alicea has extensive experience in web development, online best practices, reputation management, SEO, SEM, data mining and social media technologies. She is an invited speaker at numerous national conferences on apartment marketing.
Joe Flores joined E&S Ring in 2017. Mr. Flores’ primary duties include overseeing the company’s maintenance operations, large capital expenditure projects, property conditions and assessments, maintenance risk management and safety programs, unit renovations as well as a team of thirteen reports which include a maintenance roving team of skilled electricians, masons and plumbers.
Recently relocating to Los Angeles, CA from Seattle, WA, Mr. Flores has 14 years’ experience in facilities management, maintenance operations and construction/renovation management. Having previously worked with large asset management companies in many distinct roles, Mr. Flores has extensive knowledge in ROI’s, capital expenditure budgets, due diligence reports, property transitions, take overs, and exterior and interior renovations/improvements. Previously he was the Service Director at Mission Rock LLC and a Regional Maintenance Manager at Greystar.
Mr. Flores currently holds a 07B Electrical card, CPO instructor certified, CAMT 1 & 2 certified and holds a degree from Northwest University and Southwestern College. He has served on the WMFHA Board for Maintenance Summit in Washington State and has been a key speaker on maintenance related topics for NAA events and Maintenance Mania events.
Mr. Seymour joined E&S Ring in 1995 and is currently overseeing six apartment communities with a total of 1,733 units, which includes both company-owned and fee properties. Mr. Seymour is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, including budget preparation, financial reporting, staff selection and project completion.
In the past four years, Mr. Seymour received nine financial performance awards and three CEL awards.
Mr. Seymour played an instrumental role in closing down and relocating 120 apartments and 400+ boat slips at Deauville Marina in preparation for redevelopment.
Mrs. Letona has worked in property management since 1998 both with E&S Ring and Carmel Partners. During her tenure, Mrs. Letona has managed a variety of property types including high-rise, townhomes, and garden style as well as managing a Homeowner’s Association.
Mrs. Letona is currently responsible for overseeing the daily operations, including budget preparation, financial reporting, staff selection and project completion for four fee managed properties within the E&S Ring portfolio.
Mrs. Letona holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and in 2013 earned her MBA in Business Management from the University of La Verne. She is an Accredited Residential Manager with the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) and has her California Real Estate Agent license.
Ms. Arriola has worked in multifamily property management since 1995 with Related Property Management, R&B Realty Group/Legacy Partners, The Irvine Company, and most recently Essex Property Trust. During her tenure, Ms. Arriola provided leadership and direction to management teams of approximately six to nine properties at a time; gaining experience in acquisition/disposition, new construction, lease-ups, and property renovations. In her most recent role, she oversaw a portfolio of 2,200 units in Santa Barbara, Ventura, and Camarillo. Ms. Arriola is currently responsible for overseeing the daily operations, including budget preparation, financial reporting, staff selection and project completion for properties within the E&S Ring Ventura County portfolio. Ms. Arriola is an ARM, Accredited Residential Manager, through IREM.
Before becoming the General Counsel for E & S Ring in 1993, Ms. Kass was with the Los Angeles law firm of Mitchell, Silberberg & Knupp, practicing primarily in the areas of corporate and real estate law.
She received her bachelor's degree magna cum laude from UCLA and her law degree from the UCLA School of Law, where she was a member of the Law Review. She is a member of the California State Bar Association and the Los Angeles County Bar Association and teaches continuing education classes for both organizations. Ms. Kass is a past president of Gold Shield Alumnae of UCLA and the Prytanean Alumnae Association. She previously served as Treasurer of the UCLA Alumni Association and served on the Association's Board of Directors. She served on the Board of Directors of The UCLA Foundation, chaired the Foundation's Finance Committee and served on the Foundation's Investment and Nominations Committees. In 2002, she received the UCLA Alumni Association's University Service Award.
