April 20, 2018
April is Stress Awareness Month — a time of year when experts across the country aim to increase public awareness about the causes of stress, the negative effects stress can have on the mind and body, and most importantly — how to relieve stress. The E&S Ring family has been dedicated to crafting and managing apartment communities centered around “Living Well” through well-planned amenities in desirable locations. The idea is simple: give our residents the amenities they need to live the life they desire and provide them with service that ensures their needs are met. Exercise, eating well, cutting commute times, being close to nature or relaxing your muscles are all ways that can help alleviate stress — and many of our properties give residents the opportunity to do those things right at, or close to, home.
In honor of Stress Awareness Month, we would like to highlight the special role of the spa, and how it can help in managing stress levels. Massage is especially known to push toxins and stress out of your muscles, and it allows oxygen, vitamins and nutrients to flow in and nourish the body. Three special E&S Ring properties — Theatre Square in downtown Petaluma, Rafael Town Center in downtown San Rafael and Casa Granada in L.A.’s Brentwood neighborhood — offer residents a beautiful location convenient to an assortment of Zen-like massages and other relaxing treatments. Go ahead. Regenerate your body, mind, and soul!
Beautiful Petaluma, right in the heart of California’s legendary wine country, is a natural pick for a retreat. Set in this serene location near the Petaluma River’s edge in historic downtown is Theatre Square, a pedestrian-friendly community of studio, one, two, and three-bedroom apartment homes. Here, residents are immersed in a charming world of boutique stores, delicious locally owned restaurants, entertainment options, romantic pathways and biking trails with scenic views of the riverbed, and of course, a collection of spas, such as Massage Green SPA, You.Day Spa and Soft Shell. Massage Green SPA offers affordable one hour full-body massages starting at only $49.95, plus other unique treatments such as spa facials and infrared saunas. You.Day Spa offers a variety of massages, but the warm stone massage ($85/1 hour) is a must-try. For something really unique, try the neuromuscular massage ($120/1 hour) for treating trigger points found throughout the body, it aims to decrease pain and increase impeded range of motion. If you want a combination of aromatherapy and massage, look no further than Soft Shell in downtown Petaluma. Open seven days a week, this spa offers a wide range of massages, but the Matanzas Creek Lavender Massage is unique to Petaluma – it integrates Sonoma County’s locally grown lavender!
If your definition of luxury is living in a modern apartment with premium amenities, impeccable service, and a plenty of opportunities to let off some steam — you’ll find your ideal community at Rafael Town Center. Located in the heart of San Rafael, the generous 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom apartment homes at Rafael Town Center are a true escape, thanks to modern interiors that open to panoramic views of Mt. Tamalpais and the Bay. Did we mention they offer studio floor plans too? The community also allows residents to cut out their commute, increase productivity, and work in total tranquility at the community’s business space. Other stress-relievers include a 24-hour fitness center. Residents are easy walking distance to over 30 restaurants, 20 retail stores, 10 entertainment centers, and at least four spas. Opt for your choice of facials, body wraps or massages to relieve tension at The Fifth Avenue Spa just across the street. Pamper yourself from head to toe and choose from a variety of packages that may combine skincare, therapeutic massage, reflexology, body treatment, or even a manicure and pedicure at Acacia Salon & Day Spa just off B Street. Try anything from a deep tissue massage or hot stone massage to an acupressure massage at Ruby’s Day Spa just down A Street. Or, treat your skin to a relaxing facial at the Yelp-endorsed Paris Salon Spa.
You know the real estate saying, “location, location, location”? Well, Casa Granada is all about location. Set in one of Westside L.A.’s most desirable neighborhoods, Casa Granada presents its own little oasis in the city with a 24-hour fitness center, resort-style heated swimming pool, and four acres of lush, tropical landscaping. It’s a community tailor-made for relaxing and simply enjoying the sunny Southern California weather. Additionally, the community’s location puts you just a few miles from the Getty Museum, UCLA, the beach in Santa Monica. Explore the area’s finest restaurants, stores, a farmer’s market and upscale spas. Two spa hot spots include Spa Viola Sole and Kalologie 360 Spa Brentwood, both on San Vicente Boulevard. Spa Viola Sole focuses on non-cookie cutter facial treatments, such as the Hydrafacial™, Oxygen, Diamond microdermabrasion, LED light therapy, Ultrasound exfoliation and Firma-Lume treatments. Named as one of America’s Top 10 Spas by Elle Magazine, Kalologie offers an affordable spa pass membership that allows the member to choose one customized 50-minute massage, classic facial or alpha beta peel session per month, plus complimentary aromatherapy upgrades for an extra dose of “Zen.”
