E&S Ring Management Corporation Adds 124 Apartments to Portfolio with GreenHouse Acquisition in Seattle

E&S Ring assumes property management responsibility for 124-unit property in Seattle.

E&S Ring Management Corporation has acquired a new apartment property: GreenHouse in Seattle’s Columbia City neighborhood. As of October 9, 2013, E&S Ring assumed managerial duties over the eco-friendly community, which mainly consists of 124 one- and two-bedroom apartments. The property is currently owned by Matteson Companies of Redwood City, Calif., which has a strategic alliance with E&S Ring.

“Adding GreenHouse to our portfolio is significant for a number of reasons,” said Melody La Rue, portfolio manager at E&S Ring. “First and foremost, GreenHouse is unique to our portfolio in the Pacific Northwest since it is LEED certified. And it also marks our third apartment community we now manage in the Seattle metropolitan area.”

A vibrant and architecturally fresh apartment community centered around eco-conscious living, GreenHouse has been built to LEED Silver standards. With a Walkscore of 100, GreenHouse is located less than one block from Rainier Avenue, the central core of the shopping/dining/service retail district in Columbia City, which is undergoing revitalization. Residents will also enjoy excellent access to the Light Rail Station. Inside the units, amenities abound: stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops in the kitchens, 9-foot ceilings, washer/dryers and Energy Star appliances. Community amenities range from a 2,300 square-foot rooftop edible garden with expansive views and individual garden plots for resident use, a fitness center, two-story clubhouse, storage units, underground garage parking, bike storage and a smoke-free environment.

Added La Rue: “We know GreenHouse is already a beloved community, and we want residents to continue the green lifestyle they are so passionate about. It’s a place they are proud to call home.”

GreenHouse joins E&S Ring’s rapidly growing portfolio of communities in the Pacific Northwest. The company manages 134 units at Langara in Issaquah, Wash. and 256 units at Deer Creek in Puyallup, Wash. For a complete list of E&S Ring communities, log onto http://www.esring.com/communities.
