“It was June 12, 1976,” recalls Ramon Mayorga, a maintenance tech at E&S Ring Management‘s Casa Granada in Brentwood. “I started as a custodian-janitor, sweeping and mopping at the apartments called The Heathers in front of The Meadows in Culver City. Eventually, I helped with plumbing and painting around the property, to prepare the apartments to rent. When The Heathers was sold, I acted like a rover, working a few days a week at various E&S Ring properties. Whatever needed to be done, I would do.”
Ramon’s hardworking nature and “whatever, whenever” attitude eventually led him to the maintenance technician position at Casa Granada, where he has worked for the last 30 years. Ramon recently celebrated his 40th anniversary at our company — a rare milestone for any industry.
“Working with E&S Ring has been good for me,” says the father of one. “I was able to buy a house and raise a family. I feel lucky to have stayed with the same company for so long.”
Since 1959, E&S Ring Management has depended on the loyalty and dedicated service of employees like Ramon. They make our company’s mission — to keep residents happy and living well – a reality everyday.
“I like helping people,” says Ramon. “Residents will tell me sometimes that they don’t ever want to move because they feel at ease with me around. Making residents happy makes my day better.”
